Kate Freeman is the founder and managing director of The Healthy Eating Clinic. Kate’s healthy eating philosophy is all about being realistic and creating long term healthy eating habits. She doesn’t believe in detoxes, fad diets, quick fixes or eliminating whole food groups.

Her advice is based on sound scientific evidence combined with nearly 20 years experience in the nutrition industry.

Kate is passionate about showing people practical, easy ways to make good nutrition a regular part of their life, especially for those who are busy or manage a family.

Kate founded her nutrition business in 2011. Back then it was called Kate Freeman Nutrition. She then re-branded in 2013 to The Healthy Eating Hub when she brought on her first team members and opened the first dedicated nutrition clinic in Canberra. Fast forward to 2024 and it’s been re-branded again to The Healthy Eating Clinic, with a team of 8 and a large clinic in Canberra.

Kate is proud to support this incredible research facility, funding cutting edge research into heart disease. Kate provides the HRI with recipes for their supporters and has assisted with a number of other projects over the past few years including writing their Healthy Heart eBook and creating a series of cooking videos that demonstrate quick, delicious, heart healthy recipes.

Kate loves food! From the purchasing, to the preparation and finally the partaking! A passionate home cook, she believes that by learning basic skills in the kitchen anyone can have the healthy lifestyle they desire. Kate spends a lot of time writing and developing healthy, easy to follow recipes.

Kate is married to a wonderful man and they’re raising two beautiful kids together. She loves taking photos of two things. Her food and her family. She uses a Canon 500D and Sony to shoot her own recipes and an iPhone 10 for all things social media. You can follow her foodie and family photos over on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Kate’s two favourite things are a good coffee and a good workout. Nothing better than coffee catch ups in a cosy cafe, straight after a killer workout!
