Customer Service Manager

I am currently studying a Certificate III and IV in Personal Training and Diploma of Nutrition at the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers as I have a passion for fitness and overall health!

I grew up doing sports ranging from swimming, tennis, soccer, rowing and basketball. After some time off, I really enjoyed getting back into exercising by weightlifting and have continued to love it ever since! I’m currently training for a bodybuilding competition as a result of this, and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead of me.

Working at The Healthy Eating Clinic has helped me continue learning further about nutrition and has supported my interests in healthy and long term eating habits. To be surrounded by such a knowledgable and friendly team has been really nice, and I’m proud to be working in such a wonderful workplace.

You can find me behind the front desk at reception as the customer service manager and I’m always up for a chat!

Q&A with Em:

What’s your favourite food?

My favourite food has to be cheese. Cheese toasties, mac n cheese, ham & cheese croissants, potatoes with cheese, even cheese by itself – you name it, I’ll eat it (as long as there’s cheese!)

What’s your favourite cooking method?

The air fryer has definitely been a favourite for me! Not only does it make things easy. However, you can never go wrong with a stovetop!

How did you become interested in nutrition?

Having a mum who was a PE teacher growing up has its perks and definitely helped me grow to love exercise. I think that having the experience of sport at a young age helped me get back into it which then grew into me becoming more interested in nutrition.

What’s your superpower?

Eating all the cheese in the fridge and then asking the family where it all went as if it wasn’t me who just ate it all.

5 organisation tips that help you eat well:

  1. Planning ahead. If you’re struggling about what to eat or you feel like a broken record on repeat saying “I don’t have time to cook every night”, Making double or triple batches of your favourite foods and storing them in the fridge for other nights of the upcoming week can help make sure you have something nutritious waiting for you!
  2. Have a balanced diet; diet culture and social media unfortunately has the effect of the ‘all or nothing’ approach. It is simply too hard and not sustainable long-term so creating times to go socialise with family and friends and having a dinner out will help support your long term habits!
  3. Having enough water is super important to help your body work the way it needs. If you struggle with remembering, setting a simple reminder on your phone or getting a water bottle with times of day to drink is a great step in the right direction.
  4. Having quick and easy options in the cupboard. This could be as simple as a can of tuna, some left over veggies from the fridge and two pieces of bread. Having those quick and easy options – especially on the go, will make your life that much easier!
  5. Having fun; at the end of the day, life is about having fun and creating memories with loved ones. Food is an experience, it’s love, it brings people together, it’s celebratory! So go eat that cheese board and piece of cake because you’re creating memories that one day you’ll look back on.
