At the Healthy Eating Clinic we recognise that meaningful change takes time. Our approach is focused on progress rather than perfection, helping you make realistic changes that can become part of your everyday life.

Research shows that sustainable nutrition and health behaviour change is more likely when support is individualised, collaborative and provided over time [1,2]. It also shows that ongoing dietetic support can improve health outcomes across a range of chronic health conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and kidney disease [3]. Working with a dietitian can help you build practical skills, develop sustainable eating habits, work through challenges and adapt your approach as your needs and circumstances change.

Ongoing support can be particularly helpful for maintaining the changes you have worked hard to establish. It provides a space to reflect on what is working, troubleshoot barriers and build confidence with implementing changes.

The frequency of appointments can change over time. You may benefit from more regular support when establishing new habits or managing a period of change, then transition to less frequent reviews as you become more confident and things feel more settled.

Our goal is to support you to develop habits and skills that are sustainable, flexible and supportive of your health and wellbeing over the long term.
